CRISIS IN THE CONGO
The Democratic Republic of the Congo is the largest nation in Africa and has the largest number of displaced citizens due to internal conflict. The recent Volcanic eruption displaced more than 1/2 million people forcing them to leave belongings behind, run for their life and set up makeshift camps near the city of Goma. At the beginning of June rebel forces launched a major attack and once again thousands ran to Goma for their life grabbing only a few items for survival. Children are starving and Moms are desperate to regroup and create a new life. The Gospel changes everything! The harvest has fallen at our feet! Help us respond! Our WEFEED program disciples and feeds nearly 4000 kids on 4 continents including Brazil, DR of Congo, Kenya, Mexico, Philippines, and USA.
Children are vulnerable when they are hungry and homeless.
Approximately 10 million children around the world are trapped in child slavery, child marriages, and sex trafficking. They are hungry and desperate.
Many of the children served by WEFEED are receiving their only meal of the day from this program.
Children who are fed are more likely to stay in school and continue their education.
OUR MANDATE
EVANGELIZE We follow the model of Christ in that we take hope and salvation to the poor, the hungry and the fatherless. Our bonds of friendship are strengthened as we put ChristFirst in rescuing children from the dreadful plight of homelessness and starvation giving them food to recover and security from harm.
EDUCATE Education breaks the back of poverty. The most challenging aspect of rescuing street orphans is the staggering illiteracy they have. It’s not feeding them, or medical care, the challenge is in educating them so they can become more than a beggar.
EQUIP All followers of Christ are destined to become disciples fulfilling their GOD given purpose. Our ChristFirst program empowers children and all believers to become the original design of God for their lives.
Legacy Bible Camps were birthed in our hearts 2 years ago in the Philippines. Evelyn Herrin, Children’s Ministry Director for H4T, grabbed the vision and has created an incredible discipleship program for kids around the world. Evelyn is a “kid magnet,” leading hundreds of kids to Christ and discipling them through Legacy Bible Camp.
30 Years of Service
In 1989, I shook this pastor's hand in Baja California, Mx and said, "I'll be back." That was the beginning, a defining moment for my life. I was never the same after that handshake.
Fast forward 30 years and I have kept my promise.
Mandate
The Lord has continually assigned to me some of the most complicated and challenging projects! While being LABELED as "unique" or "unusual" may seem mysterious, that description comes with a great price. God has promised when we go through deep waters, we will not drown and when we go through the fire, we will not be burnt. God has been so faithful to us, renewing our hearts year after year so that we run with the vision He has given. Our reach is extensive and our love runs deep for the souls of boys and girls and men and women. We imitate Christ in our efforts to Teach, Feed and Heal.
Construction on our Media Center building in the Philippines - our base camp is located on the Island of Mindanao in Iligan City.

The Congo Project
The children we are focused on are true orphans. By that we are describing children that do not have any parents, no family. Many of them witnessed the brutal death of their Dad and Mom by rebels. Some died by acts of war or HIV. Hundreds have been left in the streets to fend for themselves. Even as young as 14 months. Recently the team found a baby boy in a ditch. I named him Moses. Along with 129 now in our 2 Hope Homes, we regularly feed over 350 living on the streets. The challenge set before us is massive!

After months of working with the Congolese Pastor to ensure his motives and integrity, we moved on a situation he brought to me regarding a group of 100 children ages 1 year to 10 years old, taking shelter on Idjwi Island in Lake Kivu, Congo and he made a trip there about 3-1/2 weeks ago to meet a trusted friend of his who informed him. He returned again 4 days ago and Hope4Them sent him with funds to feed them. A Dr. also volunteered to care for them and a lead "house mother", Esther along with several workers. I sent him a criteria for accepting the volunteers and Operating Principles with a Christ First theme. He fed the children, taught them Jesus and trained the workers, (after translating the materials to French, by hand, with pen and paper!).
There are 2 Hope Homes. One is on Idjwi Island and one in the city of Goma. Our greatest need is a home sufficient to house 140 children. Help us build this 2 story home ! At the Idjwi Island home we currently have 130 children - so we are preparing this home for them. Your gift today will help us provide much needed shelter and safety.
